S. Leann Gabel, M.A., LPC

Leann Gabel is a licensed professional counselor who lives in Amarillo, Texas.  She is a graduate of Dallas Christian College where she obtained a Bachelor's of Biblical Studies with Music Ministry emphasis.  Leann has spent many years serving on church staffs in the area of music ministry.  She later felt called to serve as a counselor and obtained a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from West Texas A&M University in 2008.  Following graduation, she served the student body of WTAMU through Student Counseling Services as she assisted college students navigate through life's transitions.

Leann is certified to facilitate Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (E.A.P.)  This is a fascinating, experiential model in which horses are used to help people accomplish emotional, behavioral, relational and spiritual goals.  For more information about E.A.P. visit www.eagala.org.

The rest is just detail" is one of Leann's favorite quotes.  She believes that improving oneself also improves the quality of relationships.  She feels honored to walk with individuals through life's struggles.  She is passionate about providing pre-marital counseling to engaged couples and helping them prepare for a lifetime of marital commitment.  Leann is dedicated to helping married couples who are in crisis live in harmony with one another. 

Sometimes people are hesitant to attend counseling because a well-meaning person  in their life suggested "you need to get some help."  Leann believes we all deserve the opportunity to spend focused time on ourselves because sometimes life gets messy.  She feels honored that you would consider allowing her to walk through life's journey with you towards a path of healing and freedom.
